No real updates..I'm supposed to get it back saturday or sunday from the upholster. My seats are kinda holding things up...my installer is still trying to figure out the design. But I'm tired of waiting so I'm gonna get the old ones wrapped until they're done. This wait is working my brain...I changed up my mids and highs amps..instead of 10 600s I'm doing 8 1000s plus I will hide 3 600s. The 2500s and 1000s are all going along the ceiling and I thought it would look pretty slick with all those blue meters bouncing around up there. lol They will be here friday and I PROMISE I will post a pic with all of the equipment together..speakers and amps. If anyone knows somebody in the NJ/ MD/ NY area who can build some sick seats ( in a reasonable time) let me know..thanks

I have a few problems with the information given about the whole power thing. Electric fans and water pumps are a BAD idea. A fan only uses at max 10 hp and you will get no where near the cfm with electric as you will mechanical. If you want extra power from the fan, put a clutch on it, other then that leave the mech fan on!! Much more reliable. Besides over a certain mph your fan is useless, so the mechfan is much better.

Second, electric water pump = bad idea on a DD. Race cars run electric waterumps to cool the motor faster, while they aren't racing. Mech waterpumps are much better because of the flow they provide. Their flow is variable, unlike electric. Elec can move like a mech can. Once again, mech dosen't take that much power.

Third, if you're worried about turbo lag, run twins. A lot of open class type of racers run twin turbos because they spool a hella lot faster. For exampe if you're turboing a 350/5.7L you would run 2 turbos made for a 2.5L+ motor. An intercooler isn't necessary but the higher the boost you run might require one. No an intercooler isn't based on boost 100% but its a big portion. The higher the psi the more heat. If your EGT's are lower, that's more boost. The more boost the higher the octane you will need to run. I could go on all day explaining this but that's basics.

I personally hate SC's on a street machine unless its show. Turbos are far more effective and efficient. Like 80% efficient. Pro chargers, SCs, blowerrs, are all least efficient then the turbo. I read somewhere, that super chargers use like 70 hp to run, but I am not to be quoted. I do know, that they need a good amount of revs to kick boost in, and at that they aren't 100% boost until a very high rpm. Personally, imho turbo is better for the money.

Okay enough info for one post. I may have rambled but I hope you take some info from this. I hope to see some pictures of this beast soon. I wanna make a trip this summer to see you, Trippi and the Humma

Most of what this guy just said is untrue! You can get Flex-A-Lite electric fans that do 2700CFM.... please show me a stock vehicle that does 1700. The point of removing the fans doesn't solely rely on the fact that it gives better power, it takes a load off the motor and gives better fuel economy, this guy has Hummer with all this extra stuff so he should take every little bit he can get. Supercharger>Turbo for a daily driver anyday. My buddie has a Silverado w/ the 6.0 that I did some work on. He's running a Procharger P1SC at 13 lbs of boost and gettig 172 extra RWHP with no other changes to the motor except for LQ4 heads to lower the compression. Not to mention he pushes +3 lbs of boost at IDLE! His friend also has a same size silverado, same motor, same year, and a custom built twin turbo kit with a stock cam gave him 158 extra RWHP at 13 lbs of boost he is running the LQ4 heads as well. He idles at -2 lbs of boost. The procharger is at full boost by 3000, and the turbos dont spool completely until abou 4000 so just think about that.

im sure it might have been done but ive never seen amps on the ceiling but it sounds like it will be awesome just like the rest of the build...im curious to see how the wires will be run though

Fiberglass the amp rack so it looks like the amps are sunken into the ceiling. Ive seen it done once where they had a row of kicker amps in the ceiling of an f-250. Shit was sick
