white4d96
I need to get my back suspension off the bump stops in my Grand Prix. The factory design uses a fiberglass transverse monoleaf which seriously has a wheel rate of like 10 lb/in. I'm a weakling and I can push the back to the bumpstops. Anyhow, I found a set of helper springs and was wondering if anyone had dealt with them before. http://www.jcwhitney.com/quick-change-helpers/p2005887.jcwx Anyone have any input? It's a universal kit so some cutting will be needed I'm sure, but all the same if it does it's job that's all that matters. If it jacks up the back end I'm willing to disconnect the factory spring. Neo_frog
I suggest getting these: A couple sets of: http://www.jcwhitney.com/ring-type-coil-spring-stabilizer/p2005889.jcwx And a set of: http://www.jcwhitney.com/1000-adjustable-air-spring-sets/p2005927.jcwx I threw them on the back of my PT and got a 3" lift. Now the car sits level haha. There's almost nothing to the install. It took me a few hours with no help and only a few tools. Quote Need an install? white4d96
The Grand Prix applications only go up to 1987 model year. I couldn't find any air shocks for my car either. Loudcav
I wish the solution to my rear sag was that easy but unfortunatly mine have the shocks inside the springs
sully
relocate the shock, just get some upper and lower shock mounts and weld them on. the airlift helper bags are the way to go to fix this problem.
