Kick Pods - Pics

Recommended Posts

Eh I just use old t shirts to stretch over my shit. Although you could use some spandex type material. A lot more stretchy. And pick up some CA glue to attach the fabric at the back, the hot glue I used to use made it much harder to sand off the excess on the back.

To countersink cut a bigger ring and glue it to the other one. Do the inside cut of the flush trim ring with a router, because anything else will show imperfections, I don't care how good you are with a jigsaw. Unless you sand it a bunch that is.

Yea sure, as long as the material doesnt sag. All the material does is give you a semi-hard surface for you to put glass on.

once you get the kick panels made how do you attach them?

before i stretched the material, i glassed in small blocks of MDF onto the mold...Now I can just put a couple screws thru the stock panel into the wood blocks and then put the stock panel back in. It makes a couple holes in the stock panel, but its worth it.

New updates!! Well I decided against the vinyl, partially because I quit my job at the audio shop today and didnt have easy access to free vinyl or free contact adhesive ($50 per gallon). But I painted it a textured paint, looks real nice in my opinion. I'm not sure how well the colors going to look in the car yet though. And I have a few pics of my amp rack.
