Would my enclosure tuning be the same whether I have the port sticking inside or outside the box?

is an aero port just PVC pipe?

In order to install, do I just cut another circle in the enclosure and put the pipe in the hole?

Question 1 = Yes

Question two = Mostly

Question thee = I can not answer because you need to know the inside dimensions of the box, the size of subs and displacement, then you can figure port length and size.

if the port was external, wouldnt that change the tuning compared to if the port was inside the box? i would think that the tuning would be higher if the port was built inside of the box because it takes some of the available air space.

1. inside decreases airspace slightly, so the tuning will be slightly higher inside the box as opposed to slightly lower if outside the box.

2. it is just pvc pipe, however the ends are flared and one end already has a flange on it ready to be mounted.

3. yes, to install all you do is trace the outline of the smaller flare (non mounted flare) and it is exactly the mounting diameter for the flanged flare (for precision port aeroports)

Is this calculator designed for internal or external mounting of the aero port?
