You might have some older rca pins broke off inside preventing you from inserting new ones in.

that happened to my cousin a while ago. I can't believe I didn't think of that

Then the tabs are bent in to tight preventing them from being put on all the way, try another set if you have any handy. Also check and make sure nothing is in them preventing them from being installed all the way.

EDIT: I have seen some brands that literally need to be shoved on, if you can grab a vcr or something to see if they go into the holes in other equipment.

you can either bend the tape it, bend it, or spend money on new RCAs.

What do you mean they don't fit in, will they not go all the way in? If not, then try you might need to get new RCAs. since it goes in the other sockets though it must be a problem with the deck. The reason it doesn't work on the other one is because it is a input for the H/U and you need to use the output (which it doesn't fit into)

EDIT: swap the RCAs around so the end in the amp is in the H/U and see if the other end will fit in the amp or not.

UPDATE:

Fixed the problem last night. Turns out that one of the old RCA's that were in there had the gold plating cap on the end crack off inside. So the RCA itself came out but the gold cap that they put on the end got stuck inside. I bought some different Monster Cable RCA's anyway. I stuck a drill bit inside the hole and finally got the cap out. System is back to loud as f**k.

BTW i am running 2 15" memphis m3's in a big ass box.

Thanks for your help though guys
