I was working with the older Pioneer Avic-9DVD unit and I still can't seem to get it working. I keep getting a message on the monitor when I put the MAP DVD in saying, " DISC READING DATA" and thats all it does. I put an Audio CD in and it works. I'm not that familiar with Navigation systems. I'm pretty sure its the DVD. Are you familiar with nav. units? roscoe1129 Posted June 28, 2007 Report Share Posted June 28, 2007 I know that with alot of nav units if you power it up (first time or anytime you disconnect power) and it doesnt read the map dvd all the way b4 its turned off the unit has to be reset. Some all you have to do is hit the little reset button (tiny one you have to use a pen for) others have to go to the manufacturer....
