IIRC the 'wet' look is mostly in the clearcoat. I guess if you have a crap ton of coats of clear on it it helps it. Probably would also make it look more deep if you (assuming you got a 3-stage pearl) did a lot of color coats, but don't quote me on that (or maybe that's candies I'm thinking of...solid basecoat, then a translucent color coat?)
