Sick916 Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 Has anybody ever used the dei heavy duty actuators? How do they compare to the cheap $8 gun ones? I bought some of the cheap ones and they both failed after about a year and im hoping these will not do the same. They are both 2 wire actuators. ilovetoinstall Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 i have learned that the less stress you put on an actuator the longer they will last so with that being said i use the omega 2 wire ones at work done tons of cars not to many come back what kind of car are you going to put them in and on what doors if you get them so there is no stress on them accept for them actually working you should never have a problem.... Shyne151 Posted April 19, 2010 Report Posted April 19, 2010 Get the 524N's... they will be green in color. I've put tons of them in over the years and never had a problem... I've even put them in older camaros than yours where the locks were horrid and never had a problem.
