Hey guys, updating a little bit this topic, i retired from comps a few months ago looking for a new challenge since i broke Street B and C national records with this car, and also, proud to say i´m the 2009 and 2010 bass race 149.9 dbs champion!!

Anyways, my new challenge is to get loud using small or cheap equipment, small power and a single battery, since i helped a lot of people with my SPL gains topic, now, i´m gonna try a to help a few people getting loud using small amounts of money, hope you guys enjoy this new goals, should be fun!!!

First project:

- Single kinetik HC2400 battery

- Single American Bass vfl 120.1 amplifier (2200 wats) wired @ 0.66 ohms

- 6 Cadence FXW10-250-4 subs!! They are 250 watts SVC 4 ohms, xmax is something like 6 mm lol, 35$ a piece :)

Here are the ugly ass subs:

Once again, the goal on this build was to play music very nice with stupid small power and 210$ on 6 subs wich cadence gave me for this test, termlab scores are gonna be posted but this box was ment for music, not to get loud on the meter. Before doing the new box, i took a crappy old box i had for 4 12´s and changed the baffle to test a little bit how would they react, this test box was 5.8 cubic feet with 2 6" PVC ports:

As you can see on the picture, i had 2 6´s using some rings, but the holes were bigger, after those ports i tried a couple of 7" cardboard tubes but score dropped almost a db, this crappy box was very useful because i could test the best port area for this application, by the way, on that crappy box the car was already loud (not gonna say numbers yet).

After that test, i proceded to build the new sexy looking box lol, what do you think???

Where are the subs?? bandpass maybe??

oh, there they are :)

If you are wondering why i did the box that way, it´s because my 99 explorer gets WAYYY louder with subs side and port back than any other way, so i said what the hell, faced 3 subs left, 3 subs right and port back :)

Now, the beautification process!!!

she ended up looking really nice right?? hehe, O.S means "open show" , it´s a competition on who´s the loudest with the trunk open, i fucking hate that, also, i know there´s a S letter missing on that box, but i didn´t have the space to fit it lol.

So, who wants to guess a TL score (even with the box built for music and not thinking about the meter) , i didn´t use ANY of the gains i´ve gotten in my topic :)

Box is 7.1 cubic feet with 2 6" Aeros by the way with a 37 hz tuning

HAHAHHAA are you crazy old friend???? those are 35$ subs with a 6 mm xmax and high QTS, they aren´t the best for a daily application IMO, but i managed to play very nice on music with them, i can asure you this, the score i got could have been WAY better if i would have worked inside the box, but this is just to show you can get loud with cheap equipment so i didn´t spent 1$ inside the box, is not the main goal on this :)

My main goal was around 145 @ 45 hz by thw way
