Hey guys, it´s time for me to build my first wall EVER haha, as some of you may know, i´m a complete noob with walls, i´ve never owned one before and this is my first try, i´ve designed a couple of walls before and thank god they worked very nice, but i´ve never built one myself, so, in order to make it even more pathetic, i´m doing it using 4 15" SONY XPLOD SUBS!!! haha i´m not expecting to get LOUD at all, just want something funny to watch and impress people.

The subs T/S parameters are funny, LOW vas and high QTS with a stupid 5 mm xmax gives you the idea of the final results, sony xplod recommends 1.75 cubic feet per 15" sub lol, that´s how blind i am on this little project, but, since sony xplod payed for everything and i have 5 days free, i say, who cares??? let´s build that thing!!

The subs:

Box: 11 c/f after displacement, 137 SQ of port and 31 hz tuning

Electrical: Mechman 270A , 4 runs of 1/0 and a single XS Power D3100

Amplifier: Digital Designs M2a @ 1 ohm

Starting, i ain´t applying ANYTHING inside the box, once again, it´s a cheap and quick "little project" , only thing i did was to install some printing vinyl inside the box to make it smooth, but that´s about it

Got bracing???? it´s a single layer box, so, i tried to brace the hell out of it as much as i could, still didn´t need that much of bracing IMO since subs are CHEAP as hell on small power lol

As you can see on the last couple of pictures, there´s some 3M "double layer" tape (don´t know if that´s the name, spanish god dammit) on the top of the box, i made a HUGE mistake when i was cutting the wood, and, was a pain in the ass to sand it down, so, i prefered to use that shit and save some time, we´ll see if it leaks or not lol

The worst part of this build, getting that shitty box with shitty subs inside of the shitty sexplorer, man that was a pain in the ass, i´m 30 years old and i don´t have the same strenght that i use to lol, my back HURTS!!!

After 20 minutes of fighting with the carpet that i didn´t want to remove, the son of a bitch got inside the explorer!!

I was lazy and stupid enough to not move the wires and, i broke one of my RCA´s , and then, i was even more stupid and tried to installed on the M2a and the little tip it´s inside the RCA input now hahaha, i guess i´ll change the DD M2a for one of the 8 monoblock amplifiers that i have on my storage lol, we´ll see...

Thanks a lot Dave, you got that one right, you know very well my current situation, all the equipment it´s in my storage, but, i don´t have the money or time to start the 3518´s wall right now, and, since Sony payed for this little project, then yes, i think it´s a fun practice build, but i ain´t gonna lie to you, i hope this wall doesn´t spend more than 2 months in the car hahaha, i need to get LOUD!!

I did got it playing last night with the M2a, still not sealed up since it was late and i didn´t felt like doing trim panels, but it´s very loud from 38 to around 55 hz , doesn´t move ANY air haha, i guess subs aren´t the best for lows at all, or maybe it´s because it´s not sealed off, we´ll see tomorrow when i continue with this little project, but for what it is right now, trustn me, it´s NASTY around 43 hz using cheap subs on a unsealed wall and small power on a single battery
