boomin Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 so today after bumping some songs for like 15 min my fucking head unit smelled like it was burning....so it went into protect and now it WONT EVEN TURN ON!!! NOTHNG appears to be burnt dammaged ANYTHING!!! it looks perfect but wont turn the fuck on im sooo fucking pissed please help this thing cost me over $350 HU is: kenwood kvt 512 flipout dash DVD F/s: 2 custom made boxes, for 1 12" and 2 12" hit me up I'll let em go cheap

Crump Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 There should be two fuses for the head unit, the one thats right below the cd players harness, and there should be on in the fuseblock of the car. If either blew the unit wont turn on, so your amps wont turn on. boomin Posted April 17, 2010 Author Report Posted April 17, 2010 the harness was preowned and the guy said it was complete, ive been using this for months w/o ANY problems and theres like 10000 fuses, generally which ones are for the radio, and could that even be the problem (stock fuses, do they affect after market radio???) and how come it was like smelling like on fire, near the HU not the bottm left where all the fuses are in my car F/s: 2 custom made boxes, for 1 12" and 2 12" hit me up I'll let em go cheap
