Headunit install help

Recommended Posts

At work, I'll have cars come in with other aftermarket decks or factory decks that don't power up any more, they buy a new deck and pay for install. for fun i check all fuses, 9 times out of 10 its a blow fuse, but i still install the new radio because that's what I'm paid to do :D

On mine the red wire is like supposed to run to the harness the key is connected to, like a remote wire so it comes on when I turn the key on. Mine wouldn't come on either til I hooked it up. But instead of messing with the ignition harness I just ran it to a fuse in the fuse box that gets power when the key is on

And you don't blow fuses left and right? I'm surprised if you dont. (BTW thats a real good way to screw up your computer)
