Need Help..

I posted this question on another car audio forum and they were far from helpful.

My problem started roughly 1 1/2 months ago.

I have two audioque sdc 12's hooked up to a sundown 1200d. Stock headunit, stock wiring.

At first my subs would go out intermittently and my amp would go into protect, I suspect low voltage.

After that my subs would go out and wouldn't come back on until I restarted my truck, my amp would not go into protection though prior to them going out.

They then stopped playing all together.

Weird thing I noticed, after I disconnected and reconnected both the positive and negative battery cable I would get sound again, but would stop once

I turned off my truck and wouldn't work after. So as of two weeks ago I have no bass in my truck.

So things I've checked.

RCA cables, speaker wires, fuses, power, and ground wire.

Everything is working correctly.

My subs do work, so that's not the problem.

My amp isn't in protect mode.

Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?

I would appreciate any help, I've been bassless for far to long.

sound like a bad remote wire??

if you can, hook the amp up in someone else's car... see if it works there.

Is your equipment new, old, or somewhere in between??? Had a problem like this one. Turned out to be a bad voice coil. Don't really think its a bad remote wire cuz the amp wouldnt turn on. If you checked all the wires, only thing you really got left to do is check your equipment.

did you check the wires from the subs to the amp? Could be some loose speaker wire.

The remote turn on wire is good.

I bought everything brand new last June.

Speaker wires from amp to subs are good no cuts anywhere..
