Wastehog Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 There are always cool cops out there. I've been pulled over for well over the speed limit, out pas curfew and only gotten a warning. It's all the same, if you're a dick to the cop, he'll be a dick to you. =p I lol'ed at the Toyota comments, funniest thing ever. DigitalDeath Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 well, long story short I moved out a month ago with my truck in my dads name. he took the truck along with cell phone no big deal really. I got a gsxr 600 for now and new phone, insurance, all that junk. so I have no audio at the moment. So I was pulling out of the gas station onto the main road and im pretty good about checking behind me for cops of anykind. It was about 8:20pm at started to get pretty dark outside so it gets hard to tell if there were any behind me. So im on the main road and i pop it up threw 1,2,3rd gear and let it down. I get to the next light and it turns red. Im sitting there chilling when i hear out of nowhere, "you might want to get your throttle checked if its going to keep sticking on you like that" coming from the cops loud speaker . So im sitting there just stiff as a bord it seems like because I have no tag on my bike and was doing well over the speed limit. he then pulls up beside me and I lift my visor up on my helmet. He says "try and take it easy tonight if you can" i respond with a "yes sir" and he just pulls away. IDK why i didnt get a ticker, maybe he thought i was considered a "runner" since i had no tag and had most of my race gear on at the time. anyway, short story of my day and being out of the house kicks total ass, moved in with my fiance. epic Former cop here and I would say enjoy your bike, just not recklessly. It sounds like you were on the street pretty much by yourself, so a much smaller chance of wiping out on some douche bag who wants to drive with their head in their ass... If he thought you a runner, you'd be in cuffs first, questions next. Keeping cool with a cop is the best way to prevent a problem. Anyone who starts being a mouth with a cop automatically makes the cop more aggressive. Congrats though, you've met one of the few of us who are cool... Just imagine a cop pulling into the PD with his ride pounding... Makes other cops think twice about lame ass noise pollution tickets.

Makes other cops think twice about lame ass noise pollution tickets. im usually the one riding out there that has a good head on him. it wasnt like i was doing 120 down the road, it was an uphill once i turned out of the gas station and i each time i shifted the front tire would pop up. i would let it down on purpose bc i didnt want to wheelie the bike. but na, no cars were around or infront of me. i think he just seen me get on it a little and wanted to let me know, hey we are out here u know. its so easy to just pop one up not even trying. ive been on bikes my whole life, did motocross for 12 years raced pro for 2 years. did drag racing, street racing, supermoto, dirt track anything fast and crazy. so i know how to ride, i just dont like it when cars pull out infront of me, i just have learns as long as ur doing the 40-45mph as hard as it may be u have a better change of stoping. i know half the bikes that get killed is bc they are doing over 100 in a 40mph zone and car pulls out. just stupid if u ask me 2 AQ 10'' HDC3 copper subs 1 3500d AQ amp 146.3db on TL with stock electrical in single cab truck at 32hz RESULT: 1st place at comp, 3rd overall out of 20 cars
