OrionStang Posted April 24, 2010 Report Share Posted April 24, 2010 Double post time again! First off, I've changed the Woofer(s) to the Rockford Fosgate P1S412. I've thought 'bout the subwoofer boxes a bit and came to an easy resolution. I'm going to use 18mm (3/4") MDF for the box + another sheet of 3/4" on the front, so the woofers sit nice and flush. This is how the boxes shall look: There is no extra sheet of mdf on the frontside in these pictures + the measurments are not completly finished, cuz i gotta check some of them when i got the ride. The volume of the boxes is pretty exactly 50L (~1,765feet³)(per box). The boxes should stand right behind the backseats with the sub agains the back of the seats. so, what are your thoughts about this? Don't face the subs into the back of the seat. Skullz: I think constant bass isn't such a huge deal, is it? I wont do dB drag with this thing... Just "normal" listening to music, such as House, DubStep, some Rap and stuff like that... Bejus Posted April 24, 2010 Author Report Share Posted April 24, 2010 so after having some nice bbq I went on with the subboxxes... added some stylomylo stuff to the front... lets see if i manage to produce the letters of the original logo out of mdf or some each box again has a 3" basstube (6" length), the left in the right side an vice versa. should look kinda dope in the trunk... the measurings are still uncomplete, but the shape's kinda finished! Bejus Posted April 26, 2010 Author Report Share Posted April 26, 2010 so, bad news guys... the civics engine wrecked last weekend... my grandpa who wanted to give the ride to me for VERY low money just told me, that he wont get the engine fixxed... he told me that the car is financial wrecked or sum... so swapping the engine would cost more then the ride is worth atm... it's hard to hear it cuz EJ8 Civics are kinda rare over here... so, i'll have to save some money to buy my own ride near the end of the year... positive is, that i have time to slowly buy some cheap parts of ebay, bad is, that ill have to take the bus for another 6month -.-' greetz Honda Civic EJ2 Stock Audio System!
