white_boi_audio Posted July 4, 2007 Report Share Posted July 4, 2007 (edited) Well dude my dad is a mechanic and he said that was high he said he did it for 300 like twenty years ago but he said probably now its like 500, 600 dollars(not really sure though but not 1500$), Also look around and ask some poeple if they know people that do mechanic work on the side like at there house and get some estimates and you might could look in the phone book for mobile mechanics that come to you. Thats 8hrs of work and the current average labor rate here is $65/hr so $65x8=$520. Thats just for the labor involved in pulling and replacing the engine.
