alan412
just make sure the amp is flat and not mounted up and down...Might help with the cooling a little bit mounting it flat will cause the amp to get hot. if you mount it on the back of a seat or on your box it will run much cooler. i have an alpine mrp-f300 and that seems to be the case for me. abaddon
problem solved.. sub wires were fucking up the ohms.. but i have another question... The box has 4 total wires coming out of it (1 pos and 1 neg for each sub) I only get the amp to stop over heating if i only connect 1 sub to it since it only 1 pos and 1 neg terminal on it. How do i wire both subs together in order to connect them to the amp? wired 2 ohms by the way. 2003 Ford Crown Victoria P71 2 12" Kicker CVX's Audiopipe AP15001d Stinger SR80 Isolator with DieHard 1200CCA battery Streetwires 0awg Secondary - 1998 Ford Expedition XLT
AI James
jesus fucking christ...people figure out the ohm loads of your subs before you just toss them on an amp. after this whole thread come to find out the problem is you had no idea what you were doing when you wired it or whomever wired it....ALWAYS check your wiring
abaddon
I'm wondering because I have wired them together like that into a different mono block amp with single terminals before with no problems.. Instead of flaming how about you just help? Honest mistake, sorry it ruined your day. 2003 Ford Crown Victoria P71 2 12" Kicker CVX's Audiopipe AP15001d Stinger SR80 Isolator with DieHard 1200CCA battery Streetwires 0awg Secondary - 1998 Ford Expedition XLT
