baaudio Posted June 4, 2012 Author Report Share Posted June 4, 2012 had a comp today. ive got my 3 crossfire 1700s running at 2 ohm each. i got a chance to clamp them and i am getting about 1200 from each rising to 3.5 @ 13 volts. NOT BAD!!! Numbers wise i did a 150.9 and averaged 148.1 bass boxing. Organization was IASCA, I took first in Bass Boxing Heavyweight, and second in IDBL Advanced 2. I was very impressed to see the numbers these amps were producing at such a high resistance, and I really wasnt rising too bad. Im curious to see what happens when I eventually add a 4th amp and run them at .7 each. My box still needs a lot of finish work, thats going to be my project for the next couple weeks. So i pulled the front 4 woofers out, wired two of the 1700s to .5 each and also braced the box up some more. I put some dowels between the baffles to brace them up. I made plugs for the unused holes and used some weather stripping to seal it up.On to the results.... Screw You! meh... let me re-wire this and throw in some wood.... 3.5 DB gain while in the 150s!!! LOL. Great job sir.
