xXx iKoN xXx
Ok, so everything was perfectly fine yesterday and then all of a sudden my sub starts to make this rattle every time the bass hits. Right now I have 1 12" Audiobahn 1206t hooked up to a boss class d riot amp. Sub is 1100 rms and 2200 max and amp is 2500 watts. I know boss amps suck it's temporary. What could be the problem. Could it be the voice coils on the sub or could it be the amp. Skullz
Pull the sub and check the spider to make sure it hasn't come loose or around the coil to make sure its still attached. Just pull up lightly on the cone and see if something is loose. xXx iKoN xXx
nothing seems to be loose. I pulled it out so it is right in front of me and even when i push down on the cone you can hear it. Skullz
Did you pull up on the cone and check the spider outside on the basket and inside next to the coil? Quote 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2

xXx iKoN xXx
Ok so no luck. I have taken the sub and pushed up and down all around and see no breaks no nothing. What could it be. Like I said when the sub starts to hit a rattling noise occurs. JZeFF
Can you try free-air testing the sub? It is possible its something in the box... its unlikely, but possible.. haha Quote Pioneer x930 bt Rockford t2500 bdcp 18" nightshade v1 DC audio 175.4 RF power T162s up front, infinity 3 way 6x9's in the back (removing rear stage and re-doing doors soon) 3x XS power D2700's Knukonceptz 0awg all around
xXx iKoN xXx
When the sub beats it is a rattling noise. I have another sub the exact same that I am going to put in its place, but I am getting my two new amps soon so I can put one amp to each sub instead of one amp to both subs.
