memphisBred Posted May 6, 2010 Report Posted May 6, 2010 Installed my Iraggi alt with the Big 3 yesterday. When I got home from Lowes tonight I popped the hood just to check things out. The alt was very hot and my Power wire from Alt to Batt was pretty hot too. My voltage was 14.3 and nothing was wrong while driving. Just wondering if it is normal for those two to get considerably hot. Also, my vehicle, Explorer Sport, has always been hot to the touch on top of the hood.
