18 issues

I have an 18 inch fi bl 2 ohm running on a kicker zx1500.1 2ohm stable amp. after it starts hitting real hard it shuts down. I know the amp and ground and all that other good stuff is fine. I had it hooked to two l7 12s not ever 8 hrs ago.

any ideas on why its shutting down?

Also i know the sub in the box is hooked up right. i checked many different sites to be positive.

check your ohm resistance at the amp and make sure your getting 2ohm out of the woofer?

im positive its hooked up correctly at 2ohm. i have went to crutchfield and many other sites to be sure the sub is hooked up right, and too the amp.

I think he means your battery/alt aren't producing enough power to run your amp. And when it hits the lows it drains them..

I might be wrong though.

i mean its possible. i have got a 1000cold cranking battery in the front. and another deep cycle/6farad cap in the back. but i guess it could be draining it.
