k3n12ock Posted May 8, 2010 Report Posted May 8, 2010 Type R's are good. As for SQ of the Type R's I can't say. Everyone had their own opinion on how SQ sounds. My car, some times it sounds real nice, some days it sounds shitty as hell, lul. I went to a comp and this one guy had a SQ car. He was running Xtant and man, that car had to be the best sounding car I've ever heard. So clear and you could hear every instrument. Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
TeamHT Posted May 8, 2010 Report Posted May 8, 2010 +1 on the xxx type x is better than type r for sq but its not the best or my choice. if youre on a budget check out pioneer championships (lol), image dynamics, or planet audio. not worried about price, diamond d3 are superb! if youre asking for my personal opinion for a sub for sq? fi q Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
spl4life Posted May 8, 2010 Report Posted May 8, 2010 lol when i first read your post i thought you were refering to some kind of "for show" woofer that is made of all acrylic and "clear" as in "transparent" your post is asking about subs that will get you good SQ and be loud... my suggestions for subs are DC lvl 3 or 4s, Fi Q, Sundown SA12s, RE XXX(their Mids I say its all in the box... yes sq subs are suppose to be very efficient ect ect... but if you design your box with a flat response curve... then you will obtain good sq... its all bout the box really... SQ setups are usually sealed.. but like i said... if a ported box is designed well... with a flat response curve.. then you will get SQ.. why dont you try building a T-Line... great output and sq for limited power....
