Gates or Gatorback Belt.

Recommended Posts

So I'm stuck between which to get. I've heard good things about both the Gates and the Goodyear. Anyone have experience with one or both?

gatorback, much stronger than the gates belt, I had a similar dilemma about a month ago,go to napa or autozone and look at them side by side.

Regular Gates belt...or the Gates HD belt?...two different animals. The Green HD belt shits on the regular and the Goodyear Gatorback.

A half-wit gave you a piece of his mind, and you held on to it.

I have to agree here. Been working for O'reillys for a long time now. And have gone to several Gates product meetings. Their HD series is pretty much as tough as it gets, they use that same materiel to build blower belts for top fuel dragsters. Dont get me wrong the Goodyear belts are very durable. However my opinion would be Gates, plus Gate will stand behind a warranty 100%. And if someone in a parts store wont do your warranty, PM me and ill have it taken care of. :drink40:

I just got a new belt myself. Nobody in my town even carries Gatorback. I went with the spendier Gates belt. My old belt must of been slipping bad. My voltage is much better after getting the Gates. Probably can't go wrong either way.
