dirtboi22
ok so my uncle gave me his box of spair audio stuff, and i found these little black and blue cylinder things that have wire coming out of each side... i ran it threw the positive side on some 3.5's and found that they act kinda like a crossover. Its like it limites the bass, which results in me being able to turn it up higher with out it distorting. i would like to get more, but i dont what they are called or where i can get them.. probly a noob question lol but i dont know... baaudio
back in the day before there were sub amps it was all full range amps. so they used a crossover, the cylinder you found, to control the frequency's going to the subs. i found the same thing at the shop i used to work at and thats what i was told Team NWSPL baaudio Build Log 2001 GMC Sierra walkthrough 4 Mechman Elite 370s, 10 AGM batteries, 3 Crossfire XS v2 18s, Crossfire 8k
dirtboi22
ok, so i should just look at buying a crossover, rather than the cylinder kind
baaudio
well really all you need is an amp with the built in crossover. im pretty sure you can just pull that out of the mix Team NWSPL baaudio Build Log 2001 GMC Sierra walkthrough 4 Mechman Elite 370s, 10 AGM batteries, 3 Crossfire XS v2 18s, Crossfire 8k
