Ryan k.
Would a H/O alt with the big three done and an optima yellow top up front with 2 deep cycle yellow tops in the back with all 1/0 wiring be enough for about 4500 watts rms? P4killer_
How many amps is the alt? And yellow tops are ok, but for the money you could do better. IMO if says its a 300a alt, then maybe but not really ... maybe bigger bats would be better buts that just my op Quote Setup: 2010 Hyundai Elantra Factory Unit via 4 chan NVX LOC Excessive Amperage "H/O" Alt Xs D3400/ Xs XP3000 Big 3. 2 Runs of +, 2 Runs of - DD M3b and 2 12" AQ HDC4s

superdave07
What amps how far is the rear battery bank from the alt? Quote Xterra * 69 Camaro * Audi S5 36 Ford * 51 Mercury looking for wire sponsor www.flyracing.com
Ryan k.
The battery bank would be in the trunk. Quote 2001 Dodge Ram
P4killer_
honestly i think its iffy i mean if you expect to see 4500w youll need power for that plus the amps efficiency loss.. what h/o alt..? but if your gonna do it anyway just watch your voltage but i dont think you will see 4500w with that electrical well idk as long as its a solid alt you could be ok, just could be better. Ryan k.
Honestly I don't know how much the alt puts out but I know you can buy one for the car. Would this set up work well with about 2500 watts rms thouh? Quote 2001 Dodge Ram
Team_DC-Derrick
what kind of car? obviously you dont have a alt yet, so talk to DC power.. 888 441 0144, with 4500 rms i would suggest a 300+ amp alt.. and a few good battery's in the back. I would do 2 or 3 kinetik 2400s and a 1400 or 1600 or whatever the biggest you can fit under the hood. Or XS power battery's they are really good 2 Quote The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall....... P4killer_
well i mean when you buy a h/o alt like you said u had above you buy what you can afford obvi and obvi you could get like anywhere from 200-300a alts going up in price as the amps get higher again obvi but those bats would be fine for 2500w Quote Setup: 2010 Hyundai Elantra Factory Unit via 4 chan NVX LOC Excessive Amperage "H/O" Alt Xs D3400/ Xs XP3000 Big 3. 2 Runs of +, 2 Runs of - DD M3b and 2 12" AQ HDC4s
Team_DC-Derrick
Yeah, my response was for the first post, about 4000 rms.. Personally I would still do the electrical how i suggested just so if he decides to go from 2500 rms to 4000 rms he doesnt have to change anything but subs/amps...
