I have a pioneer avh-4100 deck in my 06 yukon. I'm having issues with the ipod video not working. I did the video bypass and i know its done right, since the dvd player works fine. It plays music no problem, just wont play the vid. I tried messing with the settings on the ipod and the HU but was only able to get it to play once. The duration for the vid works when the ipod source is on, but no picture. I read to put it on AUX-1, and it just diplays a still picture of the vid where the duration on the ipod source was when it was switched to AUX. Personally, ive been thinking bad ipod cable ( and it is the right one )

Also, how do you get a personal picture to appear on your background?

hmmmm......i dont personally have the 4100, but i remember checking them out in the store and when i was fooling with it i couldnt get it to play ipod video when there was a screen saver on(entertainment choice, ex. spectrum analyzer, etc.) so in your video options or entertainment options you might have to turn the entertainment off or screensaver off. it's somewhere to start anyways. as for your personal picture, i dont know but i will look into it for ya.......good luck

You have to buy the FULL speed ipod media cord, the regular one won't work. My dad has the same unit and it took me awhile to figure that out.

When i called pioneer on it, they said that you have to turn all wallpaper display off in order to view, but it still diddnt work. It did work once playing the video from the ipod, but nothing since. They told me to try a new cable, but diddnt want to buy a new one and "try out" and not work. They also had confirmed that i did purchase the correct video cable (iu-200v from what i remember).

Do you happen to know the p/n for the full speed cable. The one i have is the iu200v from what i remember, and pioneer also verifed that that was the correct cable.

Today at work, i went and re-route the ipod cable to the center console and made sure that the jack and usb were connected properly, and it was. I also inspected the cable to see if there were any spots were it could have rubbed through or that is pinched to the point of the cable losing a signal-ok. Re-install the cable and played with the settings on the deck and ipod and still doesnt work. So used my boys ipod ( and we did this before with no luck) and it works. Set my ipod ot the same settings as his and still diddnt work, so the problem is the ipod itself.
