As far as I know, you don't even "need" that, I've seen people break them off (such as in cases where the socket doesn't have a place for the ground, and that's the only socket they can use) and whatever it is works fine. I think it's your battery, or something else. Quote

I know my gf has this problem, if she disconnects the charger it will die quick and even when charging it never actually charges, just stays steady. The problem is the battery and will likely need replaced. Quote

I know my gf has this problem, if she disconnects the charger it will die quick and even when charging it never actually charges, just stays steady. The problem is the battery and will likely need replaced. Yeah, I made this mistake. I mean, I didn't ruin the battery, it just has poor life of a couple hours only now. It's always slowly draining from 100 to 99% and then filling back up so the life of the battery gets messed up from never getting drained fully. Quote

Battery is fried, computer doesn't even detect I have the battery installed. Quote
