It's an absolutely beautiful film in every regard. It's easily one of the greatest vampire movies ever made, maybe THE greatest. But be sure to watch the film as it was intended, with English subtitles. At one point in his life he was captured, tortured and castrated. He may have been gay before it happened, I really don't know, but I guess after a couple hundred years of having no junk he decided to grow out his hair and wear girl's clothing.
