Tired of the same old boring horror movies

Okay, to start off I love watching horror movies, I try to see as many as I can. But I run into a good amount of stupid/boring horror movies, but I also run into some pretty good and interesting ones. The only problem I have with them, is that none of them are actually "scary", and I am not talking about jumping during the movie because something happens.

By getting scared I am talking about the movie messing with you physiologically, and make you scared/terrified to be alone after watching it. It use to happen to me a lot when I was younger, but now-a-days it just doesn't happen anymore.

So what I am pretty much asking, is what are some horror movies that have made you all scared to be alone after watching it?

gonna sound gay but, the first time I watched "House on Haunted Hill", I had been up for 2 days getting ready to move out of state, anyways, when the little twitchy dude ran toward the chick with the camera it freaked me the hell out. I turned it off, then a couple of days later felt like a fag when I saw it again. True story,

Honestly when I was a kid "Halloween" & "Halloween 2" (not the Rob Zombie BS)scared me. I was never scared of Jason or Freddy or any others. I have not watched a truly "scary" movie in years

i know some people didnt find paranormal activity scary, it wasnt scary to me but i couldnt sleep with the light off for a while. i kept thinking to myself what had happened, and it brought back memeories of when stuff like that used to happen to me (i belive in ghosts) and it just crepped me the fuck out. i always slept with the closets shut and doors open. scared. well more like creeped out. i always thought someone was watching me.

I was figuring somebody was going to bring up this movie haha. That happened to quit a few people I know that watched the movie. It personally didn't do anything for me though. I believe in ghost too, and it was always a thrill/rush to screw around with the paranormal. So it didn't mess with me and not want to be alone.

shutter fucking island. Didnt scare but it made me wonder if i am who i actually am. On the home from the theater after dropping my woman off I had a slight desire to swerve into on coming traffic but then i came to my senses and i was wtf?

I'm gonna sound like a bitch. But watching PA I couldn't breathe when the camera played the middle of the night activity. It was horrible. But I was able to sleep fine

Get used to it man, when you get older you notice that movies don't "scare" you any more. Not to mention their hasn't been a "scary" movie out for years now, only a few directors are making original shit. The other 90% is just remade garbage.
