bassboobs
if you plan on buying another sub get an amp that puts out 1k at 2 ohms.....simply so you could wire them in parallel to a 2ohm load, and each sub will get 500 rms... well whatever i can get for my buck is how many watts i want... but i dont wanna go over 150 a sub and i realy dont wanna go over 200 for an amp. 250 the most for da amp... Devvan Sharp
I have 2 10 inch sony xplod 1100 watt peak power subs i believe the rms is 300 watts each and i just bought a new 1400 watt sony xplod 2 channel amplifier. I was wondering if my speakers can handle the amp with out blowing??????? can any one help the amp puts out 270 rms per channel. I was thinking about bridging it and seeing what will happen but i really don't want to blow them
littlebuck1919
u will never see 1400 watts from that amp....just look at the fusing...as long as u set ur gains properly, ull do just fine...and its the RMS that u need to look at for the subs...and find an amp that wont get so hot...i had the 1000w max Sony amp (a little older one) and i could not under any circumstances touch it after playing for about a half hour/45 minutes.....
