My buddy wants to get new subs because he just blew out his 2 12" w7s and now he wants to get the 13" w7s because he really likes the way they hit the low frequencies in his sealed box. So i was wondering how the new 15" Fi Q's would compare to the 13" w7s? hes got two jl 1000 watt amps runnin the subs.

1)Alpine CDA-117

1)hifonics brutus bxi 2610

1)hifonics zeus zxi6410

3)Alpine sps-600c

2)Fi BL d1 15s fully loaded

Q's would rise above and beyond the dub sevens

i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

The Q's would probably be cheaper, even fully loaded and they'd take a lot more power (I'd say about 1500 max)

"hardcore on sq" and fi do not belong together. hell JL doesn't fit either. ID max would be great choice over either. I would look at some xbl^2 or lms subs while your at it aswell

I got 1 13w7 running in my bmw now. I love the sound of it. I'm a big fan of sealed boxes and how it plays EVERY song and EVERY note I throw at it with authority. I havent ever heard the fi so I can't compare the two but the JL is a nice nice sub. Obviously the price is an issue but there is a guy selling brand new ones on ebay for $400. I'm also not sure what the box requirements are for the FI, but the 13W7 only needs 1.875ft3 net. That's really nice seeing as my car is somewhat small. I'm not saying either is better but I am saying I love my W7.
