Build Questions. AA Havoc 15"

I am selling my type r's, box and amp for 550 and upgrading to some better stuff :].

I want to purchase a AA Havoc 15 and I was THINKING about buying a AQ1200 from AudioQue.

I know the RMS on a havoc is 1250, and I also know it will handle a ton more. Right now, Id rather only spend around the price of the AQ1200 which is only $249.

Really, the point of this post was to figure out if the sub/amp sounded like a decent pairing and also to plot on a box that would work.

3.0 - 5.0 CF is the recommended box size, ported.

I imagined the sub firing upward, with the port firing into the cabin. Box could be 36"W X 28"ACROSS X 11"D = 5.02cf. BUT thats before displacement and the port. ALSO, when subtracting the port from the box size... you only subtract the CF of the extra wood in the box right?

Would it sound fine lower than 5 cubes? How does that effect it?

How do you calculate total box size after braces/corners. I still haven't figured that out.

Weird question I also have that will probably sound retarded.... How do you use a round-over bit if you brad the box together?

Car is a '96 Nissan Sentra, small car with a back seat that folds down if need be.

3.5cb before displacement because amp is lower than the subs RMS? what exactly does that do?

id make the box as big as possible! 5cubed after displacements sounds good to meh

doesnt need that big of box honestly 3-3.5 is plenty at whatever your desired frequency is.

and no they dont take a ton more power then rms thats why theres a line above them, if you wanna run a ton more power run a subwoofer meant for it.

The one for mine sounds great and hits hard. just over 4 ft after sub and port displacement. double wall front and port. I can email you a cut sheet if you want. Also a havoc will handle a little more power than that as long as the amp is tuned right and theres no clipping
