jeyrapboy
The 4 12" definitely will pound like a motha. But i would check the spec sheets and make sure your going to have enough room. As for the 18 i think the require something like 8 cubes. I am not sure. But the 4 12" have potential. Besides i tend to stray away from kicker. knowledge
i also say the 4 12's but the 18 in the correct inclosure would get loud, also from my experience the solo x dont like that much power. S Dime 420
4 12's for sure. Those 8500's are beasts. I've heard a Solo X at 5k rms in a sealed box, wasn't very loud. Berto
4 12's. I had 2 of the 8000's in the trunk of a Grand Prix and they pounded. SGTSKIP
Really Id look at your budget... 4 12's vs 1 18.... You know your money not us. Your building skills.... the Box and wiring is a consideration you need to look at. Against everyone else.... Id go with the 18", then at least you can say you had one in a system unlike a LOT of people here, and if you dont like it you can upgrade to an SMD 18 or other brand later. A single 18 in that TC will pound. Good luck and let us know Quote Does this smell funny to you? Its your sister
REaudioBuff
well i have the 4 12'' mtx 8500s right now. i just didnt know if i should use them cause i would be putting almost 3krms to a pair of them... thats double what they should be using. I mean i will have to turn the gain down like hell on these amps but i could trade a guy for the kicker. And yes ive always been anti kicker lol but still...
