Help me be the LOUDEST at my school for senior year!

have you ever considered going with a different amp such as the crescendo 3k? its only 550 bucks and it puts out as much and probably more power than the t2500. also I have the aq hdc3 and I love it. Its a great sub at a great price. have you ever thought about doing maybe 3-4 15's vs 2 18's? just some things to think about

I would say you need a good amount of power and more cone area for sure, im thinkin about 5k and 2 18's in a well built and designed box will get you louder then him except if he knows what he's doing when it comes to boxes

yeah he has a pretty good box he made. and yeah i agree 2 will probably compete with him. Does anyone know how mead ran 2 2500w amps to each of his BTLS? one of his vids he said dont try this unless you know what your doing. JW if i could have my 1 18" then just buy another amp with my next couple checks and run 5k watts to that one BTL before i get 2?

man... dump some cash on a stetsom 11k2d and 8 solid 10s would be pretty fkn loud.

i just say 8 10 because youll have about same cone area as 3.5x 15s and the box air space would only take up same cubes as 2 15s.

thats a cool Idea but would his $4500 budget support this? remember he needs batts, alt's and all his wiring

each voice coil has an amp hooked up to it. You need to have the power to support the amps, It needs to be clean unclipped power. you also need to match the output's of the amps that go to the subs.

I'd highly suggest not doing that until you have some good experience into car audio and can tell the little subtle things and sounds subs will make and do to let you know your at your limit plus the box will be completly different from what you'll need with regular power i say buy the subs first and then choose the amps

Ditch the 2500 and go with the Crescendo 3K or an AudioQue 3500.Crescendo 3K only requires one power and ground connection while the AQ requires two.Depends on what subs you go with.But with both of those amps you have an adjustable subsonic filter, versus the preset 28 Hz on the 2500.And both of those amps are about $300 cheaper than the Rockford.That's a whole AQ HDC3 18 you could get with that extra money.You could probably fit 4 15s back there ported and still keep the back row seats.

Besides, it's always fun to kick some one's ass with some stuff the general public has never heard of.

As far as cone area goes:

Him = 900 sq in

You = (2) 18s is 508.68 (4 would be double that number) and four 15s would be 706.5

But cone area isn't everything necessarily.Getting loud and moving a lot of air are two different things as well, so keep that in mind.

The crescendo 3k is probably one the best deals on an amp, that does anything close to rated, which i think it would if you had the right electrical. KnuKonceptz is an awesome place to get wire, very good quality and cheap prices. I wish I would have known about them before I bought my RF wiring. I have their 8gauge for speaker wire, it's perfect.

ya I gotcha. so do 2 18's and give them alot of power. If you could do a crescendo 3k per sub, and build a nice box, I think you could blow his shit away
