CynicLos
feels good to be back. went to mexico for a lil vacation, too hot over there any who, back to the topic... as the title says, will a crx style box sound good in a mustang? cus im going to helping a friend make one for his ride but he hasnt decided if it will sound good. since later on ill be making a box for my car, he says that he doesnt want to have a box like the one im plannin on making ( subs facing to the rear with port on the side ). i might be wrong, but i think he might get alot of unwanted noise if he goes crx style cus there wont be much room for wave flow since a cars' trunk is not too tall, so probably he will get major rattles oh, the subs for the mustang will be 2 12' L7's '02 Jetta (1) Fi Btl 18 Inch Sub Big box FTW! Chris
I've heard that subs up, port back sounds cruddy in a trunk car... Best way to go is to seal the box & cabin off from the trunk with some expanding foam etc. Makes things MUCHO louder. 4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz 1- T1000.1bd's 3 Maxx 29 deep cycles 4 runs of 1/0 gauge -Big 3 -Trunk sealed off from the cabin Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module All in a CAR. David
fire the subz threw the rear seat opening make the box 6.5 cubes after displacement tune it 35 hs, fire the port into the car, seal off the trunk, give each sub 1kw and I swear your friend will be very very happy, this by far was my loudest setup in my stang. David
subs back poirts back has always beem ;louder in my stang.94 - 04 body style. its not the loudest set up for a stang, not even close, I rebuilt my stang 5 times, the loudest was subz and port firing into the cabin with the trunk sealed off from the cabin, no rattles and verrrrrry loud all the bass was in the cabin, none in the trunk, it was soooooooooo crazy, back window flexxed so much I thought it might pop out.
