JMZNeal
So it's been a long time no post. so here is my first walk around vid of my truck shot with a Palm Pixi so the quality all around is pretty shitty but the look on my cousin Micheal's face when Maranda Lambert's "The House That Built Me" drops in at the 2min mark should say it all. I let him drive for some reason... ??? Still not EQ'd but a very knowledgeable audio installer/box builder says i'm in the 146 range give or take a db or two on music ...also the bed is still dirty from all the time in the shop with dust and shit flying around but it don't matter none since it's all getting redone in the spring anyway. JMZNeal
Thank You. I'm just learning the glass though. following other peoples threads and watching how they prep and lay it up is only half the task. the other parts are figuring out the technique for mixing and then actually laying it to make the shape you want. the bottom under the blow through looked like ass the first time i did it. It was wavy and looked like ass from where i taped it up and tried to make it curved using only tape. so i had to cut it off and make a new bottom plate with a 2x10 side and bottom separate then glass it into the back to make it all even. the side pods actually came out just about perfect except they are just a bit tight so when i cover them they may not fit. Point is making the end result look like what's in your head is a lot harder said than done. JMZNeal
hey whats that jelly stuff? and what u think of it? It said Fiberglass Jelly. It's thick and blue(mine was anyway)....leave it for leveling rough spots not initial layup. It's thick and won't run but for some reason i couldn't get the hardener ratio right. i ended up doubling the drops of hardener and/or using regular resin when i used it to get it hard. In hind sight it was a waste of time. only good for bodywork and leveling surfaces.
