problem with sub output

I've had my pioneer premier TS-W3001D4 installed in my car by a LOC for a year now and its always had trouble playing the upper bass notes in songs. I recently installed a 3sixty.1 and have it running in a OEM Head Unit config and im still having this problem. An example is the two upper bass notes that happen one after another in Lose My Mind by Young Jeezy, the sub plays them, but its very quiet. Its low end output is definitely there, its the upper bass thats lacking. Is this just because my sub cant play them well, my enclosure is too big/small, or is it a tuning problem with the 3sixty?

Here are the sub specs:

Fs: 33.3

Its in a sealed box with a net volume of 1.14ft^3 while pioneer recommends a max sealed volume of 1.0ft^3, could this be the problem? Its being fed by a RF T1500-1bd @ 2 ohms w/ 1000w rms. Thanks!

sounds like a low pass filter problem. generally for a woofer you would want around an 80hz tuning. there should be no need to go higher than that.

Thanks, I checked around online and the sub crossover point for the 3sixty.1 isn't adjustable but it is limited at 200hz. http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=29959 I have the lpf on my amp at around 120ish

You're box is too big, that's why it only hits the lower notes.

Try reducing the colume on the inside.(throw bricks in it or some wood.)
