raytard Posted June 12, 2010 Report Share Posted June 12, 2010 woofers have impedance rise, hence the 15ohm load. and my rockford rep was telling me they saw ~3db gain on drop in tests from the old bd's to the new cp's. not peak, but average in a sweep. thats pretty damn significant. thepolicerhere Posted June 13, 2010 Report Share Posted June 13, 2010 why the hell would your woofers have an impedance of 15 ohms? and having better voltage on a (for example) 100amp alternator isnt gonna help when your amp draws 300 amps. Do a search on the ohm rise of a sub and you will see why the CP technology is the greatest thing to hit car audio. A nice right up is on this forum. You can get them online for $800. Those two other amps would by theory need almost 700 amps at 14.4 volts to make that power, and they would still just be doing 1/4 of that at 50hz.
