No vast improvements over the years. we actually stopped stocking them a year ago due to that fact. They have made some pretty ones but thats just eye candy for the bitches imo! stick with kenwood, panasonic, eclipse, pioneer, or alpine for the real workable features needed by us demanding car audio enthusiast! demonstr8 Posted July 18, 2007 Report Share Posted July 18, 2007 i had a clarion vrx935vd from '03-'06 and it was pretty awesome (while it worked). now im not saying that they are garbage and will shit on you, but when i started to call around about repairs and stuff, i didnt really get anywhere. it was pretty much obsolete. so i went with the eclipse avn5500, and its pretty tite!! I don't want it to Skip, I know every cd player will skip at some point.. 2 . It needs to Catch the Ultra Low Bass Notes... 3. It has to have a remote and at least 3 pre outs...
