boomin
Cant afford BTL.... So on 1000 RMS the BL and Q are the same loudness? I think im going with the Q then Quote F/s: 2 custom made boxes, for 1 12" and 2 12" hit me up I'll let em go cheap
wL<3bass
The BL gets low... Don't let anyone tell you different...the BL is much louder then the Q, the Q sounds better but honestly with a well designed box the BL can sound very good... Edit: honestly if you've only got 1-1200wrms get the Q the BL doesn't really start to sing until given 1500+wrms Edit 2: oh and if you think the BL can't get low check my videos... Those were with a 38hz tune, I dropped the tuning to 33hz and the thing is a vicious low end monster... boomin
what amp should i run on it? would my Elemental designs nine.1 be good to run on it @ 2 ohms (900 rms @ 12.4 volts) or should i get a bigger amp? EricR
Like wL said, if you get more power then get the bl. With ~900w I would stick with the Q Quote i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work? boomin
So is there anything louder/better I can get for the same price or cheaper as the Q? Or is the Q best bang for buck? and 900 rms is that too little for the Q? wL<3bass
What's the amp do at 1ohm? I'm not a real fan or follower of eD... boomin
it does 1200 at 1 ohm but my car has a weak electrical (stock battery, 80 amp alt) so i cant run it at 1 ohm b/c it puts more strain on the electrical Quote F/s: 2 custom made boxes, for 1 12" and 2 12" hit me up I'll let em go cheap
Maxim
I was deciding between 2 12"s and 1 15" and wound up picking the 15" because everyone around here has 2 12"s. It's been done over and over. And for 900 RMS get the SSD over the Q. It'll work better at that power. Quote wtf is lolcats? I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers. I was hoping for 150 . wL<3bass
Get a good battery the biggest you can fit under the hood or throw a second in the back and drop it to 1ohm... boomin
Is there a really big notice in electrical strain at 1 ohm vs. 2 ohms? Or is it a very small difference? By electrical strain i mean less headlight dimming, ect Quote F/s: 2 custom made boxes, for 1 12" and 2 12" hit me up I'll let em go cheap
