What would you do with about $2,500 to a trunk?

So finally heard what 150db sounds like this weekend at Slamology. I'm now positive I can't settle for something small any more. I have a 2005 Ford Taurus. I don't really have any plans yet but want to hear what you guys would do. I plan to tub the wheel well and then build the box on top of it, all fiberglass probably subs and port firing into cab. I'm thinking two 12" BTLs with atleast 5k. Not sure on my airspace though. I think tubbing the wheel well and then building on top of it, I should be able to get 6-8 total cubic feet. The $2,500 doesn't include electrical. I'm planning on the biggest alt DC Power can offer me and probably a battery bank of 3 group 31s in the trunk with the biggest I can fit under. So I'm just wondering with that airspace if you recommend any other subs or if the BTL's can get the job done. And what amp to power them? For the price of the amps that put out 5-7k it would be a few hundred cheaper to just go with two 3k amps. But if you have any recommendations I want to know. Thanks again to Derrick for making me go into bankrupt for the rest of the summer after hearing his DC's go crazy all weekend to get this done before fall.

haha. That video is terrible. Who would start and not finish a project like that. I know I know...WALL THAT BITCH! But I want to keep the inside usable. I originally didn't want to lose my trunk but after this weekend fuck that. I don't need the trunk. But I do need my backseat. LVL 5 DCs are also an option I will consider. Even more after seeing them go for about 5 hours straight two days in a row.

yeah bro, the budget will be pretty close you might even break the bank when it comes to voltage depending on how efficient your amp is, because voltage is whats going to keep your system alive for a long time minus the clipping of course.. but should be bangin.. you cant doubt a project done right just take thor for a good aexample slammin 50's out of a trunk

To the OP. I am about to do a build in my trunk here a month or so with 5k. breaking a 150 isn't impossible out of a trunk but it isn't easy I'll be tuned in.

If I can't hit 150 I'll be ok with that but I definitely want high 40's. I got about a grand a month to blow so starting next month once I stiffen my rear suspension I'll get things rolling. It is a daily driver and I know I'll have to watch voltage but I'm not planning on listening to it full tilt all the time.
