CASZ71
I'm planning on purchasing a cold air intake for my truck soon and was looking at mass air flow sensors and it says they go good together but I just want to hear some opinions that you guys have on them.. Pertty much I'm just asking if they are worth the $300 I will be spending on it? sayhuh?
Umm? More info needed. Are you referring to changing out the MAF housing? I haven't ever had to change mine out, but I guess one way to look at it is, if you are going with a CAI that is a larger diameter than the stock MAF housing itself, then yes a switch would be needed, but if the diameter is the same, then I never messed with it. Not enough of a difference for me to spend another $300 on. If thats not what you are asking, just ignore me and carry on. meade916
I have a Granatelli MAFS and it is supposed to help but im not so sure if it does or not. To be honest, it probably helped about the same as my throttle body spacer did - which is little to none. i didnt do a dyno test though so i cant say for sure but i will say that unless you have $300 burning a major hole and you wont miss it, its not the best money spent. CASZ71
Thanks guys.. Yea I figured it may give the truck a little more power but 300 bucks is a lot to spend on it if its not going to make that much of a difference.. I had a cai and throttle body spacer on my 98 Z71 and I couldn't really tell a difference in power at all but did gain 3 mpgs with both.. So i guess Im just going to do the same with this truck bc i am getting around 13-14 mpgs driving easy..
