i THINK the guy the designed the RE woofers left and is now working at FI (not sure if that was scott). the RE woofers have been the same, performance wise, since he left and FI has gotten better. so while RE is not bad, FI is better.

I've heard the same thing, I'm pretty sure it's true (thought it was Nick tho). To the Op: my Fi's took an everyday beating like a champ and when I took em out for my rebuild the coils still looked like there brand new. As for their SQ I can't really help you because I've never heard a SQ setup to compare my system to

i love my 15" Fi BL all day. I take a cruise just to listen to my sub slam wherever I go.

actually RE changed the look of all of them and all but the MT are not totally assembled in the peoples republic of china...ive seen alot of bad glue joints myself
