Wall for 2 12"s?

Recommended Posts

I would vote for folded horn, or transmission line, or one of the classic ABC boxes, or Dual tuned Parr bandpass

small ported box firing in to a large ported box

only thing showing is a large port area

I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

I was just about to suggest trying to fit as close to a full size horn that he could

I bet that would be a good idea and sound real good, but I still don't know how to do those. I'm stuck at just ported boxes still, and figuring how much port and what size I need is still complicated at times.

dont be scared of the tline, or horn :good:

in reality, you can build a tline with a universal tuning of 40hz, or 30 hz and most subs will work just fine in it, its mainly the area of the line that is more important

to match a horn or tline with its Fs is of course more important, because of impedance

but I have proven to people over and over again, that you really can just build a tline, universally and they more than likely would work

But I still don't know the math to it.

And if I do a tline or a horn design will it need to be in the trunk? Cuz I want to get a lot of air flow to at least have a chance at hair tricks.

EDIT: I just read your tutorial and it helped make it look not so complicated. Maybe when I'm not so tired I might start drawing something up. What do you think about a tline wall?

I was about to say that I don't live to far and you should help me, and then I saw your first post. But yeah that'll be cool. I'll just need to get the other 12" and money for the wood, it might be a while til I get everything (still need electrical) but I want to start building the box soon if I can.

And on a side note, I saw your truck at the MECA show at The Roadhouse and it got down.
