LowHo97
Whats up everyone...I just got my MECP study guide in the mail to prepare for the Basic installer certification. Just wanted to see if anyone who took the test or is about to has any tips or suggestions. Thanks,
sweet&low
Yes I have taken the basic and Advanced past both with 96%. Read the book carefully and it should have side note in the book those where mainly the question when I took the test. The basic is pretty easy the advanced you have to remember quite a lot. Forevrbumpn
Man, I wouldn't mind taking the test again, just to see what I score Back in the old days there were different levels Basic installer Alarm specialist Auto Sound Specialist Installer First class Master Installer First shot I passed up to Auto sound specialist, but I know I can do better now- That was 11 years ago Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. mothra
i'll be sitting for the Basic in a couple of weeks. I stopped working in the industry about 8 years ago and the book back than was not like it is now. Hopefully the questions are as easy now as it was back than. I heard that now you actually need to know what all the colors on the resistors stand for and that any thing in the margin notes is definitely on the test. Good Luck with your test, you just taking it for fun or for work? I'm taking it in hopes to actually make a footprint in the super saturated market down here.
