new comer to the complete sound system

OK so im new to the forum and need help on learning about amps, right now im in the process of looking for a system to throw in the back of an 02' Pontiac Aztec i gotta tell you dis car is packed with bass from the get go but im not pleased it lacks consistency and bottoms out a lot i been searching on audio savings for a good sound system nothing really big something within 2 12's or 2 10' within 1200w to 3500w but every time i find something i get confused by the amps because they have classes and i dont understand them if anyone can explain the differences of these classes it would be awesome and if you guys have any suggestion on what i should get let me know im looking to spend a good $600 on it ohhh yea include a good deck im still running the factory stereo ill see if i get some pics up of this truck thanks for your help embebass out

there are different classes, class d mono block means that there is only 1 channel (one positive, one negitive...for speakers)

id go with 2 12s for that suv, with a 1500 watt amp and a xs batt up front and you would be set... for around 600-800

look for used, great shit for great prices

Uuhm, NO.

Class D means it's a efficient amp that uses certain new technology to make power.

You also have Class A and B and other classes, Class A or B have older technology in general, they are less efficient then CLASS D amps.

And then you also have the bd CLASS made by Rockford Fosgate, it combines both, it's efficient and sounds good.

Just buy Class D amps, they are easier on the electrical.

Monoblock means it has only a output for 1 speaker.(sometimes for easier wiring it hasa two but they are connected on the inside.)

Monoblock are usually Class D amps, but not always.

Then you have 2 and 4 channel amps, they are made for 2 or 4 speakers.

That pretty much sums it up i think.

thx guys and yea i kno i have to reaserch n da reason i wanna go with 3500 is i wanna be able to wire the system up so it hits with quality not power i want clear clean bass maybe ill wire up the speakers so their ohms go up isnt dat wat u generaly do for SQ ohh and forget bout the Aztek im rolling in an 05' grand am now so yea the truck is my mothers but we were sharing now i got my own car so dats were my money is goin to be

IH8PunkRok thx for comfirming dat and umm i kno its not as awesome to have good clean bass as aposed to shear power n loudness but i like to enjoy muzik so thats why i want it to be hight ohms so i can keep it for longer n enjoy songs alot more
