Mosin Posted July 4, 2010 Report Posted July 4, 2010 (edited) There is a reason Kicker didn't put a cooling fan on it. You'll be fine. hifisoundconnection.com offers refurbed Kicker products at cheap prices and are Authorized Kicker dealers. They have new ones also. sonicelectronix.com is a good place also. Edit: Are your L7's dual 2 or 4 ohm woofers? Hopefully D4? Edited July 4, 2010 by solo_x18 Quote Derp.
RonniePena Posted July 5, 2010 Author Report Posted July 5, 2010 they are dual 2these... is that bad, all 3 of my kickers are really old an still dont sound too bad, sometime soon i want to put 3 new kickers in... Quote
steven Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 reason because kicker amps run at 2 ohms. You might consider looking a an aq2200. cheaping than the kicker 2500.1 and you can run your subs at lower imp. Quote
RonniePena Posted July 5, 2010 Author Report Posted July 5, 2010 i have been looking at the hifonic what do people think about them Quote
Rennovattio Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 I used to compete with Kicker L7 12s and did well but I never really liked the way they sounded, but I love the sound of the L7 10s & 8s. You'll definitely need an amp with a high damping factor to control those. Maybe an old ZR1000 or a pair of them or the slightly less powerful ZR600 if you can find them. Quote
