Symmetry9898 Posted July 9, 2010 Report Share Posted July 9, 2010 I took the sub out of my box today because one of my screws holding my big amp to the back side of the box broke and i had to replace them with some new bolts. Anyway, I was looking at the spider and i see that there are separations in the fibers and i see the yellow of the next spider under the black one. There are no tears in the spider its just a bit of separation. Is this normal? should i be concerned? If i get a chance to pull it back out tomorrow i will post some pix of it. Im thinking a recone is a bit premature for this sub, especially since im only running one T20001 to it. I did pull the gain back a little just to have a little bit of headroom.
