hhey so i have a Pioneer N1 and the voltage display reads out close to a 3 volt difference than what my battery is really sitting at. any idea why that is?

That it is drawing power from the battery its self. So the voltage is going to be different. Try upgrading the big 3 and maybe a bigger bat up front? That is what i did and it helped a lot!

big 3 is already done. have a yellow top up front. so im set there. stock alt tho. but its wierd that the deck is reading different than what my meter says hooked up to the front battery

How is the meter at the deck hooked up?

is it a straight readout from the battery?

I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me.

big 3 is already done. have a yellow top up front. so im set there. stock alt tho. but its wierd that the deck is reading different than what my meter says hooked up to the front battery

well im guessing its reading it through the power for the deck. my other volt meter is wired straight to the battery

Is the deck's volt meter adjustable?

if so then just adjust it so its reading the same as the battery.

i dont remember seeing the meter at Lowe's

the meter on the hu is probably wrong. to make sure, pull your hu out and measure the voltage with your dmm. if it still says 3v less on the dmm then run a dedicated power and ground to it.

no i dont think it is adjustable. if it is i dunno how to change it. my other volt meter i just put back in 3days ago.
