BboyTaktix Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Hey guys, I was working on my trunk layout and finished wiring up the two amps. Everything works, except my subs are a lot less loud than they used to be (before I added my 4-channel amp and new speakers) I checked the RCA cords to make sure they were connected,I checked all the settings on the amp and they're the same, speaker wires are hooked up, and on my head unit, I have all settings at 0. The subs are working, but not at all how they used to. They're not nearly as loud as they were and can't even keep up with my Mids and highs. I have the mono amp hooked up to a cap which is hooked up to the battery (fused of course) my 4 channel amp is also fused and hooked up to the battery. PLEASE help me fix this!!!! If so check your wiring to the subs to make sure the polarity is correct Car - 99 Neon Sport Batt - 1 Redtop up front On 200A Excessive Amperage alt Sub - 2 12" Kicker L7's in ~2 cuft @ 36hz each on a Xtant X1001 @ 1 ohm Front Highs/Mids - JVC CS-FS6 and Infinity 6022i on Xtant A2002 Rear Highs/Mids - None HU - Pioneer DEH-P8600MP 1/0 wire ran thru entire car aswell as big3 DB - 144.5 @ Dash.

At some point when I had the mono (sub) amp disconnected and I was playing with the settings, I set the 'input sensitivity' on the amp to "0.6V-2V", when it should have been at ".2V-.6V", for this reason, the subs were playing at less than half the volume they should have been. I just flipped the switch and got my subs back to full volume. Anyone have an idea how high I can set the amp's gain if it is 1550RMS clarion, and the subs are 12'' JBL 350RMS each (700RMS total)? right now I've got it at a little more than half gain.
